  • Public Disaster Resource and Training Center
The Pediatric Disaster Resource and Training Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is hosting the Pediatric Disaster and Emergency Services National Summit, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Emergency Medical Services Agency, and with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  The conference will take place in Los Angeles, CA on September 11 and 12, 2008.

The path to trauma program administration is often through the clinical ladder which rarely prepares the manager for the tasks of financing and operating a trauma center. To assure managers are successful, whatever their background, NFTC provides comprehensive Management and Leadership courses twice a year and audio-web courses on a regular basis.

The NFTC has added a course to educate Trauma Medical Directors about the business and leadership skills needed in their challenging administrative role. The Trauma Medical Director course is limited to a small number of participants to facilitate discussion and problem solving.  The course is held in conjunction with the Annual Leadership Course.

Members enjoy a substantial discount to NFTC conferences and receive audiotapes of the Annual Management Conference each year. Members also enjoy exclusive access to the quarterly Audio Web Conferences.
