NFTC COMMITTEES

Reimbursement Committee

The Reimbursement Committee provides a national forum for government financial professionals, trauma program managers, and trauma directors to improve trauma center finances.

Objectives:

1. To recommend educational and informational programs and services for trauma directors and trauma program manager/coordinator for the new trauma UB-92 code.

2. To provide an overview, analysis and evaluation of NFTC publications, conferences, and other educational activities so that trauma centers improve their financial conditions.

3. To develop a relationship with CMS and develop a strategy for securing Medicare funding for trauma care for both trauma centers and surgeons.

4. To carry out specific tasks and projects assigned by the President or Board of Directors that pertains to NFTC membership interests.
