PARTNERS

TCAA Preferred Partnerships

The Foundation is developing partnerships with various organizations (private or public) who share the TCAA's vision for creating a better future for trauma care professionals and trauma centers. The TCAA's association with these organizations offers learning opportunities and resources that will help make TCAA members more effective and successful.

Potential preferred partners may submit an application to the TCAA for review and approval. The selection process for a preferred partnership includes a rigorous TCAA internal review and TCAA Board approval before any program or activity is accepted.

The Adam Williams Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Initiative

The Adam Williams TBI Initiative is a nationally-acclaimed program focusing on educational outreach and continued research to improve TBI patient care. Guided by the Mission Innovation Institute (MII), the program seeks to assist other ACS- or State-verified Level I and II trauma centers to adopt the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) TBI guidelines, Mission Hospital's evidence-based protocols, and further the integration of brain oxygen monitoring into standard clinical management of TBI patients. This program won the JCAHO Codman Award in 2002.
